Local CSA Vegetable Box

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares gives you a direct connection to the local farm where your vegetables are grown and with the farmer who grows them. They also provide you fresh, delicious veggies and herbs throughout the growing season.

As a Vegetable CSA member you will gain access to the same high quality Produce that we offer to local restaurants, health food stores and farmers markets in the Windsor Essex County Area.

By purchasing shares of the future harvest while the ground is still frozen, you are allowing us to acquire the equipment, seeds and supplies needed in the upcoming season. In about early to mid June we can start to harvest fresh vegetables for you to enjoy each week or bi-weekly until the end of the season, which is usually mid October.

Additions to your CSA box

You also have the option to add onto your box with other items listed in our What's Growing section and we will deliver this free of charge but this is separate from your original Vegetable CSA Membership, these items must be paid for in advance and preferably a minimum of 2 days prior to delivery day to allow us time to see and pick your Produce order from our farm.

What's in the box??

Each week you will receive a box of fresh harvested produce containing 6 - 12 different items that are harvested fresh from our farm with the occasional item grown or produced locally.

Our Small CSA boxes will contain enough veggies to feed 1-2 people comfortably.

Our Standard CSA boxes contain enough veggies to feed 2-4 people comfortably.

Our Family CSA boxes will contain enough veggies to feed 4-8 people comfortably.

Each delivery will double of everything of which our Standard boxes normally contain.

All of our produce is grown as naturally as we can, we utilize ground covers to control weeds, composts and manures to aid in fertilization and beneficial insects and netting to control unwanted pests on the farm.

We plan to offer a good mix of what is currently in season while maintaining a nice variety from week to week. Each week we will send out an email to let you know what will be inside each box, by doing this we hope it will allow you to plan for the week and grocery shop accordingly!

How long is your delivery season??

Our CSA season runs from mid June until October, giving you 18 weeks of freshly harvested local vegetables. Having our season run this long gives you a wide range of produce from the tender spring greens to the hearty fall crops. We grow over 45+ different varieties of vegetables that you have the opportunity to enjoy during the season.

Item sub outs?

We understand that sometimes our customers have preferences on what not to receive in their weekly share, this is totally fine and nothing new to me. Please let me know if you would not like to receive certain items in the season, eg. Some people do not like hot or super hot peppers, you let me know and I will add this information to our customer file and sub the item out for something completely different. Certain people have allergies or intolerances to items, again let me know, I will add this information to our customer file and you will never receive those items. Some customers already have a at home garden and are growing select items, no issue, again just let me know and you will never receive those items from me.
